Reasonable Graph

Thinking ontologies

We offer a generic web solution for the management of digital and physical collections, i.e. libraries, archives, museums, generic content

A demo implementation of the FRBR, FRAD and FRSAD semantic models. We have implemented all entities specified by the aforementioned models. The meta-data schemas of each entity are comprised from properties specified in the main MARC (Marc21, Unimarc) formats, from the guidelines of RDA cataloguing rules, the work conducted within the BIBFRAME standard and from experience gathered from actual implementations in libraries and archives.

The demo wishes to provide an enterprise level experience of handling, searching and retrieving data and digital content in collections, i.e. libraries and archives, that adhere to the aforementioned semantic ontologies. Also to depict the ability to extend and customize pre-existing standards. Most relevant for users and cataloguers from the library and archive domains.

Our inclusive approach meets the needs of the print-disabled community. The search (OPAC) and digital item retrieval modules meet the W3C Web Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 level AAA. The epub online open-source reader Readium is utilized.
